When considering how to sell online one must realize that the methods for online are entirely different but the principles of business building are the same for online and offline. When building businesses online we need all the help we can get so I’ve included several excerpts from the book I wrote in 1995 and have now revised as an eBook. Either way, if you are contemplating or already starting a new business I trust you may find some great value from my years in small business and thereby avoid some of the mistakes I and others have made too many times as you learn and plan how to sell online.

In the pages that follow I have addressed the issues that apply to building businesses online or offline. You may be starting an online business and were previously only in the corporate or government world. Many folks are now building businesses online and offline as a result of downsizing, restructuring, or early retirement. For those of us who have always been in the self-employment world the chapters I’ve included here will be familiar. I trust you will find the personal stories I share most helpful as you start a business that will become profitable and fun.

For those who are new to business ownership and the world of self-employment these pages will be of great value. Most who have commented on the book have indicated they could very much relate to the stories I tell (mostly on myself) and the incidents that occur regularly to those starting, expanding or building small businesses.
